HILTON ORLANDO - Girl's Trip Edition

Hello Everyone!

Welcome back to my blog, I hope you are all having an amazing weekend.

I am taking a little R & R [Rest and Relaxation] this morning. These are my favorite kind of Sundays... at home with my husband and binge watching whatever we find on Netflix. Right now we're on Shameless, and it is hilarious!

The real reason I am writing this post, is to share an AMAZING (and productive) girls weekend at the Hilton Orlando. Drew and I went in July and it was for a little weekend getaway. This trip was totally different because I was with my girlfriends, and we had a conference to attend. It was exciting to return to the resort and see it from a whole other perspective. I would call this trip more so a business trip than a getaway because we were on a pretty tight schedule all day on Saturday.

I wrote a blog post in July about what it was like visiting with my Husband.. you can find it HERE <3

This visit is all about the Girls, Girls, Girls (queue the background music, Taylor Swift to be more specific).

We arrived on Friday afternoon, and had the sweetest valet and bellman meet us at the check-in area. We didn't have to lift a finger, and the guys were soo nice and helpful! I come from 10 years of background in hospitality, including a minor from UCF in hospitality, so I appreciate great customer service! We were a little hungry after the 2 hour trip, so we stopped at the Scratch Market located in the lobby area for a fresh smoothie! They were so good, and totally what we needed.

When we arrived at our room we were surprised by a perfect view of the pool area, treats, comfy robes, slippers and beautiful rooms! The pillows y'all... they are stuffed with clouds, I swear! The Hilton Orlando does a great job adding fun Florida touches to the rooms! I loved all of the palm details, and Orlando information book, telling you all the things you can do during your stay.

The great thing about the location is that International Drive (aka I-Drive) is only 5 minutes away. Even with a hectic schedule, we were able to sneak in a fun little trip to one of the more tourist areas. We decided to goto  the new I-Drive 360 for dinner, and found the yummiest Mexican restaurant. Tacos, girls getaway, and a beautiful resort.. the weekend was already starting off FAB-U-LOUS <3

Saturday morning was jammed packed. The first thing we did when we woke up, was goto the conveniently located on the first floor, The Bistro! They served an amazing breakfast, but also have quick service options too such as fruit, cereal and coffee. I got one of the omelettes, with an iced coffee.. it was the perfect way to start the day!

We were at the conference all day on Saturday, but when we returned we were sure to grab a cocktail by the pool side bar. After all, we worked hard all day so we totally deserved it!  The Tropics Poolside Bar & Grill , has a lot of great pool side snacks, cocktails, and meal items. I linked their menu here so you can check out all of the great options for your poolside visit!

Sunday Morning was my favorite day at The Hilton Orlando! We upgraded to a cabana for the day and it was worth it. The best part about the day is that Harleigh and Daisy were able to join in on the fun :) They had a blast to say the least, and as a mom, it made my trip having Harleigh experience all the Hilton had to offer! The Cabana was stocked with towels, soda, fruit water and comfy couches! I don't think pool side will ever be the same after experiencing the accommodations we had. We also had a pool side attendant who checked in on us every 20 minutes or so, she was able to place food and drink orders! Another great perk of a cabana!

The first think Harleigh eyed when we were at the pool was the giant water slide! I was so nervous for her to go on it by herself, but she was able to wear her life jacket down, and she LOVED LOVED it. Its not very often you have a water slide at your resort! In addition to the waterside, there are 2 kiddie splash pad areas, an adult only pool, and a lazy river! That was a lot of fun for us to go down as a group!
